A Polish lieutenant colonel, named as J. Zbigniew, has been sentenced to six years in prison for spying for Russia, the RBC news website reported Monday, citing local media. The Polish citizen was fined $4,100 and a mobile phone that he allegedly received for providing Russia with data was confiscated, local online portal Onet.pl reported Monday. The court stated that Zbigniew was providing Russian intelligence services with information about which Polish servicemen they could recruit.

SALT LAKE CITY — President Russell M. Nelson of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will not be able to physically attend this weekend’s general conference after he fell and injured his lower back.
President Nelson said he “will be watching general conference through technology just as most of you will” and he hopes to record his general conference message.
“I pray that each of us, wherever we may be, will approach this sacred weekend with our hearts full of gratitude for the privilege of hearing the gospel of Jesus Christ proclaimed by His servants,” President Nelson said.
Rapper King Von fatally shot in Atlanta
Rapper King Von and another man were fatally shot after gunfire erupted outside an Atlanta hookah bar early Friday, authorities said.
Two Atlanta police officers, one of whom was off-duty and working at the hookah bar, confronted the shooters and more gunfire followed, police said.
Atlanta police said they do not believe King Von, whose real name is Dayvon Bennett, was killed by police, but was shot in the initial gunfire between the two groups.
